Hi, I’m Tim – Founder of Harbour Renewables

I grew up in the South of England, on the edge of a huge natural harbour where I spent my youth sailing, paddling and exploring – the harbour that eventually inspired this business.

I actually started my energy career in Oil & Gas as a Test Engineer, but found myself looking for a way out of an industry I didn’t see a future for. I moved into Renewables the first chance I got, and I’ve never looked back.

Harbour Renewables Ltd was originally established in the UK in 2015 before we moved headquarters to Northern British Columbia, Canada where it was registered in 2020.

My team focuses on energy independence in rural and remote areas, helping families and communities reduce their dependence on propane, generators, and unreliable grid networks.

We also sell parts and systems for your DIY projects, and we’re always around to help you troubleshoot your ideas and systems.

I have a degree in Product Design & Innovation BSc (Hons), I’ve trained as a Prince 2 Project Manager and have managed worldwide projects in Singapore and Canada. I’ve installed and maintained wind turbines throughout the UK and Europe, and installed everything from large solar farms (5-20MW) to the smallest off-grid arrays. I am a long-time enthusiast for renewable energy technology and carefully select and test the products Harbour Renewables supplies.

Send us an email about your project and we can get started!
